|
| Q: Why not get fake wood floors ( plastic laminate flooring)? |
| A: At first they look real, but when you look a little closer they look more related to cardboard than wood. The wood image on top is about as thin as a human hair and when chipped it shows the fiberboard core of the panel. The paneling also repeats the same wood pattern every four or so boards. So why "fake it" when you can have real wood floors that add value to your home? |
|
| Q: Why not get carpeting? |
| A: Providing a hardwood floor is not exposed to insect infestation, fire or flood, the average life of a solid nail down floor can be 125 years or more. Although the initial cost of hardwood flooring is higher, carpeting needs to be replaced on the average of every 5 to 7 years. You will replace your carpet three times before your hardwood floor will even need it's first resanding. |

| We spend 90% of our time with our floors. Clean floors are a must because researchers believe a microscopic insect (the dust mite) could be responsible for asthma's rising tide. Hardwood floors will not house or incubate harmful allergy causing bacteria and molds. According to the American Lung Association, hardwood floors in your bedroom and other main living areas can actually improve air quality in your home. |
